Kim Saunders

Kim Saunders, M.A. is a born and raised Alaskan who has spent 23 years in the public school sector. She currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for the Kodiak Island Borough School District and has many years of teaching experience in PK-8th grades, primarily in special education. Kim has a master’s degree in both Special Education from Portland State University and Educational Leadership from George Washington University. Kim is a passionate leader who believes that family and child welfare is a community effort and enjoys working to be focused on solutions and systems improvement.
